I long for<br \/>\nintimacy, true Koinonia, where communion with you is failsafe.<\/b><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Failsafe\n<\/span>Good soil retains the seed of life\nFor those who listen to your call\nRhema is sown into the heart\n\nSome words of wisdom come by night\nFatigue drowns out the still small voice\nI trust my head and fall asleep\n\nMy eyes are opened to the dawn\nI feel a scream that has no voice\nYour message faded into air\n\nI heard you speak - of that I\u2019m sure\nForgive my failure to respond\nPlease bid me, launch out for a draw\n\nHow does one eulogize this loss?\nI\u2019ll be attentive every hour\nAnd trust your promise to return.<\/pre>\n<h2><b>\u201cThe Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, \u2018Samuel! Samuel!\u2019 Then Samuel said, \u2018Speak, for your servant is listening.\u2019\u201d<br \/>\n1 Samuel 3:10<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: large;\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">My Thoughts<\/span><br \/>\nWhether God speaks to us through the written word, or that intimate, rhema witness, His word is seed and we are the soil. However, Jesus warned us that the spirit is willing but the body is weak. There is wonder (and heartache)<br \/>\nwhen the rhema word comes to us in the middle of the night, and we fail to retain it. Those are the times we awake with the knowledge that something was spoken but we have no memory of the words.<\/p>\n<p>In repentance we pledge to respond differently, next time. By grace, we\u2019ll get up, write it down, and never again trust our flesh to remember, come morning.<br \/>\nPlease bid me, launch out for a draw &#8211; Although Simon Peter had toiled all night, he returned with empty nets. But he trusted Jesus when He bid him to try again. What hope do we have that God will continue to speak to us? In Christ past failure does not limit future success.
