His name I never knew
\u201cBoston Blacky\u201d they called him
I tried to buy crayons one day
But my coins were short
He was there, beautiful and unkempt
I returned home and forgot\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0
He smiled at me when I came to the door
All rags, except for those brand new Crayolas
Daddy teased, so I had to refuse.
I never saw him again --\u00a0
Not with my eyes.<\/pre>\n\u201c\u2026People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks
<\/b>at the heart.\u201d

Sometimes God demonstrates His love to us through the most unlikely people. This little boy was the poorest of the poor, and the object of much ridicule. Yet, he had a heart so rich in love that it led him to bring me a gift. His sacrifice wasn\u2019t borne of what he stood to gain, just a selfless desire to bless a shy, and often forgotten little girl. In retrospect, he was a knight in shining armor. All I can do after so many decades have passed, is to pay homage with words\u2026 and pray that God rewarded him as only HE can.\u00a0<\/p>\n
