What lover is this who patiently waits\nTo enter the life of His bride?\nIt grieves Him to watch the deceiver\u2019s seduction\nThat draws her away from His side \nSo bruised and mishandled, her wounded soul blindly\nRefuses the path that He\u2019s made \nShe needlessly struggles with burdens He\u2019s carried\nAnd debts that He\u2019s already paid \nHow He longs to fill her so full of Himself:\nThe Word that would quicken her womb \nBut love won\u2019t allow Him to force Himself on her\nNot even to spare her from doom \nThe god of this world defiles her with pride\nAnd ministers doctrines of men\nSo bound by tradition, she can\u2019t see the truth-\nHow will she endure to the end?<\/pre>\n
