In You

Pride cannot prevail against the
message of the cross. In 1 Corinthians 1:17-31, Paul warns us to acknowledge the true source of power and consider what we were before God called us.

I’m grateful, Jesus, for your disregard of human standards. In choosing me, you looked past the wise and the strong. My boast shall always and forever be in you.

In You
I’m growing in you, Lord
I’m going where you lead
I know that you’re able
To give me all I need

For your will is flawless
Your way is sure and true
Eternal salvation
And victory in you

The world’s tribulation
May sometimes bruise a heel
But I have a Savior
Whose promises are real

The enemy rages
And I step out in faith
Protected by weapons
Provided by your grace.

Without your anointing
The devil aims and scores
But with you I conquer
And all the glory’s yours!

“Therefore, as it is written: Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:31

My Thoughts
The enemy attacks us with lies and deceit. But our weapons are borne of truth. As we uphold the Lord and proclaim the Word, God’s truth disarms the powers of darkness, and lights the way to victory.
