About Me
Hey there, I’m Deborah
Deborah J. Kelly was born in Brooklyn, New York. She penned her first poems as a little girl in Bedford Stuyvesant. Deborah found her voice during the turbulent splendor of the 1960’s. Coming of age in that decade, she witnessed political, cultural, and social events which left impressions that would continue to reverberate in her being.
Then, in 1989, she became a follower of Christ. From that pivotal moment, Deborah began the life-long process of seeking to perceive all things from a born-again perspective. She sought to process her experiences through the eyes of faith. After she confessed Jesus as Lord, her gift for writing took on a new purpose. Doors were opened for her to proclaim the Gospel through teaching and preaching, and she served the local church body as a cell group leader. In addition to writing Bible study lessons for her church, Deborah began to pen God-centered forms of creative writing.
My Mission
My purpose is to offer various forms of beautifully written communication that showcase and bear witness to God’s love and power at work in the lives of His people. I believe that entertainment can be edifying.
Because of that belief, my poetry and prose are created to proclaim the greatness of Jesus and His gift of salvation. In addition, this site will offer topical Bible lessons for the study of God’s Word. In doing so, I hope that He is glorified.
