Sanctified Radical

Jesus gave us the Parable of the Talents and a call to occupy until He returns. But these things cannot be accomplished by a people who bow to evil in any form. Sometimes He takes us back in order to bring us forward.

Abba Father, my blessed hope is in the One that has equipped me to walk in love, power, and a sound mind. On that great day I want to hear “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Here I am Lord, blood washed, Spirit-filled and sanctified-radical!

Sanctified-Radical
America gave birth to twin Holocausts: the Black and the Red
What can be said here of the darker brother?

A spoiling of a people from shore to shore
Countless numbers lost to all but God
The Founding Fathers bought and sold –
Yet trembled before Him because of their sin
But, their descendants drunk on profit, with seared conscience
Created a deity that winked at the atrocity
Then rewrote history to support the lie

The Civil blood bath whitewashed the cup
A false start at Reconstruction but
Growing weary in pretending to do well
The victors kissed their former enemies and departed
Leaving us to face the terror dressed in bed clothes:
Slavery by another name

Then came the Movement of all ages and creeds
Demanding to be heard
Bathed in prayer and wrapped in humility
A freedom song to rout the Crow
Battles were won… but not the war
External implosion would cut it short.

The glory departed as we
Took cover behind designer fig leaves

No, no, not that again:
The contrived “Curse of Ham”
Come to mock the Blood of Jesus
Oh deceiver, haven’t you heard?
He is not mocked!

Stay tuned … the battle is rebounding
And the choices are clear!

Time cannot heal without contrition
No statute of limitations
For this capital offence
The absence of repentance abounds everywhere-
Look there – America’s Swastika:
The Rebel Stars and Bars!
And there, atop Stone Mountain, carved by a Klansman
Behold the shameful Mount of Disfiguration
Just a relic, you thought?
Uh-uh, a triune shrine
To a cause that never died

But, we cry “It’s good for us to be up here
We won’t build tents,
Just pay to walk around”
Like children wandering in the wilderness
Being told what to forget
Taught to deny, that which lives
And has never been resolved
While others, who vow not to forget their past
Cry “Never Again” and gain respect
They would never tolerate a veneration of the Fuehrer
Nor pay to support it in the land of the free
What’s wrong with us?

Persecution does not void our status in God’s Kingdom
But we can pursue our freedom – indeed we can
We’ll need a prayer warrior’s stance
A wobble won’t do
So, will we kick off the five inch heels and
Pull up our pants
Long enough to handle our business?
Are we worth it – are our children worth it?
Or did our heroes die in vain?
Did our HERO die in vain?
Oh beloved, don’t number the enemy
Or fear the uncircumcised Philistine
We must seek to prevail
And embrace eternity
Looking to the Spirit with un-scaled eyes!

“Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so.” (emphasis mine). 1 Corinthians 7:21.

My Thoughts
Our God is Just and Holy – full of Love and Power. We must reject the enemy’s slander of Him, just as we reject the lies about ourselves. Spirit-filled knowledge is essential to succeed. In Christ, the truth that sets us free isn’t shamed or mishandled – and it will not be defeated.
