Daughter in Waiting

Nov 1, 2015 | Blogs, Poetry Spotlight

Jesus Christ reveals to us, God the Father. Those who wait on Him are bathed in the light of divine paternity. From His heart there flows loving affirmation and the truth of our Kingdom purpose.

I thank you, Abba Father, for doors closed by your loving hand. I’m blessed to be your daughter in waiting.

Daughter in Waiting
I’ll follow, should you say, Release
And trust your choice to bring me peace

What you deny cannot be sweet
It’s Satan’s snare, dressed for deceit

The only love that will fulfill
Is one born of your flawless will

In you there’s grace for me to stand
And see the blessing of your hand!

“And now, LORD, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.”Psalm 39:7 NKJV

My Thoughts
I have peace only as I walk in the truth that God’s love for me is faithful, and His will for me is perfect. When my focus deviates from that truth, worry and anguish always follow. When I’m denied something that I desire I know it’s because that thing only appeared to be good. My vision can be subject to deception. Any temporary sorrow I experience from a closed door cannot compare to the hope I have in following Christ. If I release that forbidden thing, God will lead me into my blessed purpose.

In John 14:9 Jesus said, “…Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father…” But, can we honestly say that about ourselves? The harvest is plentiful. A form of godliness won’t do. He’s made the way. Now who will take up their cross and follow? Lord, I thank you for a torn...
