Sifting

Whose report will I believe?

Lord, I acknowledge the immeasurable measure of your life giving Spirit, on deposit, within. I trust in the faithful One who is ever making intercession on my behalf. I’m yours Lord. I believe. I anticipate the full manifestation of your word. I reject the testimony of my natural senses in the midst of my sifting.

Sifting: half empty
No Word.
Without faith
Hope dies
And dreams collapse in grief.
Sifting: half full
My night so cold
And yet within
His call
A flame
Beheld through tears.

Luke 22:31-32 *The Greek is plural

My Thoughts
The unbeliever’s perception is limited by human capability. But, followers of Jesus are subject to a new outlook. Our view is transformed by way of Spiritual ophthalmology. And, our vision is a matter of faith in the infallible One who has no limitations. Our Lord is at the right hand of God, making intercession on our behalf! This overrides any natural circumstance. We’re able to see the glass half full, when others see it half empty. Even our trials serve a purpose for the greater good. We can endure because of the deposit within that sustains our hope. This is what makes the Christian more than a conqueror.
