Affirmative Action

“…I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked,” (Psalm 84:10). And now through the blood of His cross, I am more than a doorkeeper. By the Holy Spirit, I am a temple of God’s presence.

Abba Father, I thank you for “A new and living way.” And I persist in the One who saw my plight and took affirmative action.

Affirmative Action
Salvation changed our old address
And to the throne we gained access
No more condemned nor sin oppressed
There’s cleansing for all sins confessed

Our flesh resists the higher call
But we must know that if we fall
Repentance turns us back around
Our course resumed as grace abounds

God is not mocked, be not deceived
Each time we fail His Spirit grieves
The race is called and we must run
Enduring all, to hear, “Well done...”

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me Heavenward in Christ Jesus.” ~Philippians 3:14

My thoughts

While we were lost in sin, the Savior did what we couldn’t do for ourselves. His act of love at Calvary was the highest form of affirmation. By grace, flesh was disarmed, death and its sting were defeated. We’ve become a new creation, walking by faith. Our path is Spirit-led, as we press toward home– and there is joy in the journey!

Soul Mates

Once upon a time, in the Garden of Eden, there was a divinely ordained union of Holy intimacy. The male beheld his Ezer-Kenegdo: his female counterpart, taken out of him, presented back to him, to reunite with him, as one flesh. It was God’s doing and God’s timing....
