“So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:16-17

The enemy really knows how to press our buttons. We see the racial hatred that continues to assault us, and want to recoil from everyone who looks like the oppressor. While there are legitimate causes for us to rally among ourselves, our celebration of Blackness should not render us incapable of seeing the good in others—or the bad in ourselves. Because to do that would bring us down to the level of our adversaries, and deny the Word of God.

Dear Father, Help us to remember that in Christ, we are all brothers by His precious blood. Give us eyes to see clearly and judge fairly across the boundaries of race, and all other variables that have no meaning in the kingdom of God.
