“Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.” Acts 17:11
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27
As sin increases and hearts are exposed, we are not to be frightened, confused, or discouraged: None of this caught God by surprise. He not only warned us about these times, but He prepared us to endure and overcome. The Spirit of Truth is our inner gauge and compass, grounding us against the winds and doctrines of worldly wisdom—even in the church. We follow men and women of God, only as they follow Christ. Our unwavering trust and faith belongs to Him, alone. Therein lies our nobility.
Dear Lord, it’s by your grace that we’re not deceived by the seductions of this world, or by wolves in sheep’s clothing. Thank you for your Word, and your Holy Spirit. Together they enable us to walk in the wisdom, discernment, and obedience that brings glory to your Name.
