“Then Moses said to Him, ‘If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.’” Exodus 33:15
Moses, the one God chose to lead His people out of Egypt, made a wise declaration on their journey. As they drew closer to the Promised Land, he entreated the LORD not to send them any further—unless HE was going to accompany them. Moses understood the importance of God’s presence, and the fact that no place could be a blessing, without the One who blesses. In a world where the lost search in vain for a godless paradise, true believers trust in Jesus Christ. He is Immanuel, “God with us.” In the valley or on the mountaintop, we’re never alone, for in Him we live and move and have our being. Praise the Lord!
Dear Lord,
You have promised never to leave or forsake us, and we stand on your Word. Thank you for the privilege of being led by your Spirit. By grace, we abide in the Vine and commit all things to you. In Jesus’ Name.
