A pastor once said that our relationship with the Lord is the only one where we can’t simply “Agree to disagree.” The Word confirms this absolute truth, and it should define every believer’s walk of faith. Our privilege of divine fellowship was paid for with the blood of God’s only begotten Son. Yes, He loves us that much, and in His infinite wisdom, He knows what is best. As worldly perspectives come and go, God and His Word stand form. Any attempt to defy Him is the epitome of human arrogance and folly.

Dear Lord,
Please keep us mindful that your Sovereignty is a blessing to those who believe. Thank you for working in us both to will and to do—not according to our flesh—but according to your good will. Show us the error of our ways and make us quick to repent, as your Spirit guides. May we honor you and obey your final Word in every area of our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
